Terms of Service

Effective date: 16 September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Aicon-Platform (the "Service"), operated by Jarkko Laaksonen, trading as a Swedish sole proprietorship (enskild näringsverksamhet) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Aicon-Platform is

Aicon-Platform is an AI-assisted design tool for industrial automation projects. From a short project description, it generates draft equipment lists, I/O point lists, network architecture diagrams, budgetary cost estimates and a PDF report, and can simulate a generated design with synthetic signal values.

⚠️ The Service produces AI-generated drafts, not certified engineering deliverables. Output may contain errors, including in equipment selection, I/O addressing, and cost estimates, even where the Service's own automatic checks find no issue. You are solely responsible for having a qualified automation/controls engineer review, validate and, where applicable, professionally seal any design before it is used for procurement, construction, commissioning, or any safety-related purpose. The Service must not be used as the sole basis for safety-instrumented systems or life-safety decisions.

2. Accounts

You sign in using a one-time link sent to your email address — there is no password to manage. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide an accurate email address and may not share your account access with people outside your organization.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in EUR; applicable tax is calculated automatically at checkout. You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time from your account's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial-month refunds except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these Terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the project descriptions, data, and files you submit ("Your Content") and of the designs generated for you. You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service (including sending relevant, non-identifying technical inputs to third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy). If you use the Team plan, Your Content shared with a team becomes visible to that team's other members and owner.

6. Intellectual property

The Service itself — its software, design, and branding — is owned by us and is not transferred to you by these Terms. You may use generated reports and designs for your own projects, including commercial ones.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be complete, correct, or suitable for any particular project.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for a breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, 8, and 10) will survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
